These images were made during our sea day (August 6, 2024) and our visit of Gibraltar (August 7, 2024).
Unfortunately, the sails on the Wind Surf were more for decoration than power. They were never filled with wind and we never listed. It was not a sailing experience. Too bad, it would have been awesome to fill the sails with a 20-knot beam wind and do some real sailing. Oh well.
Gibraltar did not disappoint. I really enjoyed visiting the rock and learning of the history of the area. I sailed a cargo ship into the port of Gibraltar in 2014 in a simulator. It looked and felt just like the real thing does. The lighthouse was impressive and the caves and fortifications in the mountain were amazing. This was one of my favorite ports of call.
